Where has the time gone!
I can't believe that we're in November already, and the dreaded C word is getting mentioned more often.
I've been keeping myself busy by putting more fabric, magazines and books on eBay. There are some bargains there for all you looking to add to fabric stash etc.
I've also been doing some knitting:-
1. Kim Hargreaves - Heartfelt, The Dark House Collection
Designs so far completed, Bonnie done in Cashsoft 4Ply with a crocheted border and looks really nice. I'll post the photos on shortly!
Also Haven worked in Rowan Cocoon which is so soft and cozy, just nice for the chilly weather coming this way tomorrow...
Is anyone else out there doing some Kim Hargreave designs?
I'll post again tomorrow, hopefully with some photos to show!

The Draw for Fabric!
The draw master Ginger was the obvious choice in keeping things in-line. On a bright Friday afternoon, beginning in the garden "Draw Master Ginger" decided to take a change of tact!
Moving the draw to the comfort of the hottest place (inside the house), the scorching sun beat down on the south facing windows. As he stretched out to get every part of heat, he then pawed out the paper entries of the draw.
He then made his final decision by nosing and passing whisker to all the entries! ... and the winner is Carol R. I've notified her of the winning entry and comment and will be sending out the fabric tomorrow!!

This week I've added another favourite of mine, SEWN from Australia. Sarah has put together some great giveaways and writes a most admirable blog. Her travels have seen her far and wide recently and has shown the most beautiful quilt work.
I've a T-shirt makeover to be done and posted on Brassy Apple, so better get busy!

I just want to say many thanks to Brassy Apple, Megan :0) and Kath_red for the opportunity to win for the first time! The most beautiful and elegant apron will be worn for my fundraiser this month Saturday 20th June, for Breast Cancer Care Scotland.
This is the 2nd time I've helped this charity, and feel that it is deserving of funds now my mum is 4 years Cancer Free! :O))
Thanks Everyone!

Changes
I love this time of year, the grass has had its first cut. Washing has been outside drying in a cool breeze and has that lovely fresh spring smell that reminds me that life isn't all bad!
Even the lillies (my treat as part of the weekly shopping), always makes me smile :0)
So my apples have been great it making up the early morning porridge as well, not forgetting the little drop of maple syrup, tasty.

De-cluttering and Clear Out
Jane
Spring clean is very much on my mind at the moment, as a way of improving the surroundings of home and heart.
Brainstorming is something I've used on many occasions from helping study subjects at University to planning how the Country House Crafts website looks, hence this rather colourful piccie.
Discussions with a few friends recently got me thinking about how to keep motivated when getting into the clear out groove! One website that has stood out recently has been Flylady who gives some of the most amazing tips on keeping on.
Here is one of her brilliant vid's:- Flylady Video
She is a great resource for everyone to find something of interest. Lots of great tips! I'd better go and get some more work done. Ta, ta for now!

I have to thank my World Yarn Swap partner Christine for the most fantastic selection of yarn and goodies that arrived today. Not only were there yarn but also a few magazines, nice napkins, perfume and chocolate! Mmmmmm! :O)
I've a few new knitting friends from Ravelry all over the world, does anyone else out there do the same?

This is one of the last pictures of my special Stitchminx, Smokey. I lost her suddenly a few weeks ago and still finding it difficult to come to terms of her, not being here.
On her favourite chair, her favourite game was to kid-on while sitting next to the Xmas Tree that she wasn't playing with the Baubles... she was the smart one, compared to her brother Ginger. Does anyone else feel like this, when losing a favourite family pet?
